It's taken 10 years of living on the coast around Scarborough for me to feel connected to the cliffs, shoreline and other local paraphernalia of the place, I've always felt closer to the rugged inland landscape of the North Yorkshire Moors than the coast, but I've got to know a place slowly but surely and once you begin to know the edge of a thing, looking at the interior landscape also becomes more interesting.
